I love my students, the families and my fantastic coworkers at St. Mary’s! I love helping my students discover and learn new things. It is a blessing to be to be a part of their early faith formation and academic growth.
On the Golden Apple Award:
It was an honor and very humbling to be a recipient of the Golden Apple award. It was inspiring to be able to spend an evening listening to and celebrating the accomplishments of the other teachers awarded that year. I am blessed to be teaching in an environment that allows me to share my Catholic faith while helping my students grow academically, socially and emotionally.
Background/significance - The Golden Apple is given to 10 teachers in the Archdiocese of Washington each year that display excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to Catholic education. More info can be found on the adw website about qualifications and nominations if that is what you are looking for.
